Walking With God...

"He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God" Micah 6:8

This verse really struck a chord in my heart. At this point in my life I desire to live for my God in all aspects of my life. The depths of who I am truly realizes the emptyness of this world and I know my thirst can only be satisfied by my Savior. The daily temptation of living in this world is still there but I am able to look past that alot easier now. Four years ago it was quite the opposite. Praise God I have changed. I desire to act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with my God.

To act justly means making the decisions I know to be right in the eyes of God on a moment to moment basis. Loving His ways and walking in them. Making these decisions based upon God's promises and not on how I feel. I got caught up too much in my feelings during the first couple of years of my Christian life. I think too many Christians find themselves in this place in their lives and don't know how to get out of that trap. As I continued to draw closer to God, falling on my face many many times, my mind and heart continued to be radically changed!

To love mercy is to love kindness. Kindness is one of the fruits of the Spirit. This is having an excellence in character and demeanor. Just being Christ like to those around me and people being drawn to that kindness.

To walk humbly with my God is what it is all about! Living a life where it is all about God and nothing about me. John 3:30 says, "He must become greater, I must become less". When I am truly experiencing God's presence in my life I am able to see how AWESOME He truly is and how insignificant I really am....and the best part is that He loves me and desires for me to know Him intimately! It's what Louie Giglio calls "Insignificant Significance".

God is so good.....even when I don't feel that He is!

Here is a picture from our 2nd Ultrasound on January 25, 2006. We found out that we will be having a boy! We are so excited!!!
